With a nostalgic eye, I am especially interested in themes of uprootedness, transience, conflicting identities, immigrant experiences, lives at the margin, silencing and erasure, search for belonging, and yearning for home.

Coaching

A mentor at heart, I feel most fulfilled when I inspire and nurture emerging writers through craft work. I have been supporting mostly women writers through developmental and line editing, including submissions to literary publications. I would like to bring out more immigrant and neglected non-mainstream voices. 

Editing

Prior to my shift into creative writing, my academic training and professional work has equipped me with much research and publishing experience in development and energy economics. I continue to provide consultancy support for report-writing and developmental editing, with a focus on audience messaging.
